What is the Psychological Evaluation of Children and Adolescents?

Psychological evaluation refers to the use of empirically validated psychometric tools, which, combined with clinical assessment, lead to the evaluation of the presence or absence of a cognitive, emotional, and/or behavioral phenomenon in a child or adolescent, including the intensity and frequency of it, if it exists.

Who is the Clinical Psychological Evaluation Intended For?

The clinical psychological evaluation is intended for children, adolescents, and adults.
For children aged seven years and older, the evaluation is conducted by a Clinical Psychologist and, when necessary, in collaboration with a Pediatrician, Child Psychiatrist, or Psychiatrist, depending on the nature of the evaluation and the request of the parents or guardians.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

ASD encompasses a wide range of characteristics that affect social interaction, communication, and behavior.

It often manifests as difficulty in understanding social cues, limited or repetitive interests, sensitivity to sensory stimuli, and a preference for stability and routine.
